Implementation Of Government Policies In Waste Management In Tanjungpinang City

Waste management in a city aims to manage the waste generated by its inhabitants, thus indirectly contributing to preserving public health and creating a clean environment. Currently, waste management is under great pressure, especially due to the increase in the amount of waste produced by the community, both producers and consumers. in order to solve the problem, the researcher examines the problem using performance indicators, data is collected through observation, interviews, literature study, where sources and data are obtained from journals, books, online news or websites, barriers/obstacles encountered in implementing waste management policies, Tanjungpinang: City, especially in coastal areas.The results of the survey, the delays in waste removal and the lack of land for waste disposal, the implementation of regulations and government services are open waste, and the awareness of citizens to cleanliness is still low.
